Muhedini është mjeshtri historik i gurit në lagjen e pazarit.
This shop is unique in Gjirokastra, and was opened by Muhedin Makri, a stone carver master who died in 14 March 2020.
He worked for many decades n this shop, carving beautiful products for tourists. A former bronze sculptor in the industry of the time of communism, Muhedin Makri continued his work carving the stone at the age of most workers taking their retirement. It is amazing to see such a great art works, very elegant, produces by the hardest material of nature, by stone. You can find in this shop some portraits of well-known Albanian figures such as Ismail Qemali or Ismail Kadare.
He is not living anymore, but all his work is showed in all walls of the shop. The shop is open in the new bazaar every day.
